27/11/2008 - Future Business Magnates
Future Business Magnates have come together again to see which school and company can lay claim to being Durham Future Business Magnates for 2008/09.
The competition, in its fourth year, is expanding all the time, with teams now coming from Easington as well as Durham and Chester-le-Street. One team is even from as far as Bangor Academy in Northern Ireland.
The businesses involved are all from around the Durham City area and the friendly rivalry to become "top FBM business" is as lively as ever. "This competition would not happen if it wasn't for the businesses giving up their time to help the students" said John Tindale, Co-ordinator of the event. "We have new businesses involved this year that have heard from the others what a great event this is."
Winners of last year's FBM, Framwellgate School, caught the judges' eye with their scheme to recycle greeting cards.
After the months of hard work, the awards night will be in July when one of the teams will become Future Business Magnates champions of 2008/09.
